About Me:
Hi, I’m Miranda, or as the children know me, Miri. I came as a tiny dumpling to my owner and trainer. I was fed from a pipette and my survival was in doubt. During this time, my owner and I grew to love each other, and she welcomed me into her already large Yorkie pack. Fortunately, the Yorkie pack thought so too and I quickly assimilated. They soon realised that I was a clever puppy who could just steal knowledge from the others. Fig was my absolute role model! That’s why my owner decided to take me with him to the hospital as a trainee dog, where my owner and Fig have been working as a professional therapy dog team for many years. The two little ones (the Master and his Apprentice) have been a great success with both adults and children, bringing smiles to everyone’s faces. Even the nursing staff “took advantage” of our selfless services. I got a lot of caresses! But one day Fig fell asleep and never woke up. Our owner was terribly sad and I did my best to cheer her up and tell her that we would continue together. I took over the baton, and as a testament to this, in 2022 we passed the international test for therapy and facility dogs.
