Hi guys, my name is Sofie, my mom is a border collie, my dad is a Samoyed, so I became a big furry furball. I was born in Győrtelek, near Nyíregyháza, on April 07, 2020, together with my three other brothers and sisters. I was a birthday present from my mother, and the family was very happy when I came home. I spent my first night with Mia, my mother’s daughter’s French bulldog, who welcomed me very kindly, I felt how much I was loved from the first night, I even forgot to cry.We live in a big garden house where I can run around, the neighbour Maya often comes over, she is a vizsla, she is really nice to chase the hens, I taught her not to hurt them.  Boniface the cat is part of the family, we share our comfy sofa and when he catches a mouse we have fun together. Unfortunately, I had eye surgery when I was a little girl. I inherited it from my ancestors, my eyelashes grew very thick and inwards, which disturbed my vision, I blinked constantly, I couldn’t even open my eyes many times.  In Budapest, in a super clinic, with a freezing method, I managed to get rid of both my eyes from the excess eyelashes. I recovered quickly, I could resume my previous life, we could go to dog school again, Maya’s owner taught me the basics, Maya and I made a lifelong friendship. I heard from my mother many times during our walks, when talking to other owners, that she would like me to be a therapy dog, because I was already good friends with all the dogs in dog school, I loved working, learning new things and not only for the reward food, but also for my mother’s words of praise that made me happy. My other weakness is children, who are the best to play with in the world. We learned a lot from Tanya in the training sessions and I became a therapy dog in October 2022. Since then, the three of us, Tanya, Maya and I have been bringing smiles to the eyes of children and adults, and of course, we get lots of love, cuddles and hugs for all of this.
